About Course

Start your piano journey in a single sitting. This bite-size course walks you through keyboard layout, posture, finger numbers, first rhythms, and a simple right-hand pattern you can actually play today. Learn by doing: watch the core video, then follow our guided practise plan, quizzes, and a short performance upload to lock it in. Ideal as Lesson 1 in a broader beginner pathway.

What Will You Learn?

  • By practising single stroke rolls, you’ll develop speed, control, and balance between your hands — essential for clean drumming. You’ll learn how to maintain even strokes, improve your timing and endurance, and build the coordination needed for faster rudiments, drum fills, and smooth transitions around the kit. Mastering this fundamental rudiment lays the groundwork for more advanced techniques and expressive playing.

Rudiments
Track your progress on all 40 of the P.A.S. International Drum Rudiments with our convenient play-along audio playlists, graduating from Bronze to Diamond Levels, as well as the “open-close-open” option. Each rudiment also has an Application Exercise in 5 levels, plus rudiment breakdown and lesson videos from Dr. John Wooton. If you’re new to rudimental drumming, we’d recommend that you take a few minutes and watch John’s video lessons on “How to Learn and Practice the Rudiments” and “The Real Rudiments”. Instead of working your way through the rudiments in order that they appear on the list, consider John’s “4 Tier” Rudiment Learning Sequence which will help guide you as you progress from one to the next.
